How ANTM Cycle 24 Should’ve Gone

My order of eliminations had the show gone my way

Like my previous write ups, I’m gonna post who should’ve been first call out, bottom two, and eliminated for each of the respective weeks. I will also post the actual first call outs, bottom two, and eliminations on the real show, and how I thought those respective call outs/eliminations should’ve gone, and my reasons behind it. Then I can at long last post the next intermission including the highest ranked girls from Cycles 15 and Cycles 24. And then I never have to talk about this horrible cycle ever again and can finally move on to other cycles to rank. Believe me, I’m going to need to rank another cycle to take my mind off this cycle and block it out of my memory once and for all. I’m going to be ranking Cycle 12 next.

Now onto my personal elimination orders!

**Week 1 was casting, so no elimination took place**

Week 2:

FCO: Coura

Bottom Two: Brendi & Maggie

Eliminated: Maggie

My FCO: Rio

New Bottom Two: Kyla & Maggie

My elimination: Maggie

Reasons: I must be the only person in the fandom that doesn’t think Maggie was anything special and deserved her elimination. Her picture was so awkward, even if it wasn’t quite the worst in the bunch. Though I guess anything is better than Kyla’s laughable excuse of a photo. That’s who I’d put in the bottom two with Maggie instead of Brendi. Either way, Maggie still goes out first. And Rio would get first call out this week, not Coura.

Week 3:

FCO: Liberty

Bottom Two: Ivana & Shanice

Eliminated: Ivana

My FCO: Liberty

My Bottom Two: Ivana & Shanice

My elimination: Ivana

Reasons: Well look at that, my first call out and elimination choices match exactly that of the real show. So I guess the judges got it right on high fashion video week. I know I ranked Christina super low for her video in my rankings, but I honestly wasn’t mad at Shanice in the bottom two either. Her video was equally terrible and she had dead eyes galore all video. Still, I’d get rid of Ivana this week as she had no potential whatsoever.

Week 4:

FCO: Khrystyana

Bottom Two: Coura & Rhiyan

Eliminated: Rhiyan

Quit: Liz

My FCO: Khrystyana

New Bottom Two: Erin & Rhiyan

My Elimination: Rhiyan

Quit: Liz

Reasons: As much as I hated Coura’s picture that week, I thought Erin deserved a bottom two more, as her picture was equally atrocious. Liz’s quitting aside, Rhiyan is still eliminated this week. Her pictures were nothing special, though her photo the week she was eliminated wasn’t too bad.

Week 5:

FCO: Rio

Bottom Two: Christina & Coura

Eliminated: Coura

My FCO: Khrystyana

New Bottom Two: Shanice & Coura

My elimination: Coura

Reasons: Not much to say here. Just that Coura and Shanice were the least impressive, hence their bottom two appearance, with Coura going home. And no way would Rio get a first call out for her atrocity of a picture, that would go to the lovely Khrystyana. Otherwise, I was fine with this elimination.

Week 6:

FCO: Khrystyana

Bottom Two: Kyla & Liberty

Eliminated: Liberty

My FCO: Khrystyana

New Bottom Two: Kyla & Erin

My elimination: Kyla

Reasons: This goes down as one of the most unfair, most spiteful eliminations in the shows history. Liberty was only eliminated because it was LGBT week and she’s a conservative. Someone who’s not even anti LGBT either. And the producers don’t want their precious liberal winner Kyla to get eliminated this week in particular because that would make the show look bad. So thus, they chose Liberty’s worst shot on purpose to justify her elimination. Since VH1, hell society in general, only panders to liberals and eliminate a non existent villain to show the audience “See guys, liberals good, conservatives bad. The bad guys lose, and the good guys win. Tee hee!” I think this was the turning point in which this entire cycle went completely downhill. It’s in part why I hate this cycle so much. And how the hell did Erin avoid bottom two for her piss poor excuse of a photo? That is one of the worst photos I have ever seen in a long time. Erin would be in the bottom two here, and I’d eliminate Kyla. She should’ve gone that week for sure. If I could name one positive thing about this week, it’s that Khrystyana has received her third first call out in a row from me as she continues to slay away.

Week 7:

Everyone except Erin and Christina got first call out

Bottom Two: Erin & Christina

Eliminated: Christina

My FCO: Sandra

New Bottom Two: Rio & Erin

My elimination: Erin

Reasons: First of all, no way would I do that ridiculous seven way tie for first call out. That has got to be one of the stupidest things I have ever seen in my life. If the girls did such an excellent job in such an emotional week, why couldn’t they do a non elimination? Then do a double elimination the following week to make up for the no girls getting sent home. Singling out one person that survived the bottom two by NOT displaying her picture around the house is just cruel. And the way the judges treated Christina was just disgusting. She’s speaking up and trying to defend herself, and the judges jump right down her throat and eliminate her. Her picture wasn’t even that bad either. Instead of eliminating her, I’d eliminate Erin here, who should’ve gone that week. She had been taking terrible picture after terrible picture, and was continuing to get worse. Her picture this week was just atrocious. And Rio can join her in the bottom two. Her picture was ABYSMAL, and the judges still praised the hell out of it? Either way, Erin still goes this week.

Week 8:

FCO: Kyla

Bottom Two: Khrystyana & Sandra

Eliminated: Sandra

My FCO: Jeana

Bottom Three: Sandra, Rio & Brendi

My elimination(s): Rio & Brendi

Reasons: Despite me not doing a non elimination the previous week, which probably would’ve have made sense, I think I would still do a double elimination here. And I’d get rid of both Rio and Brendi this week. Rio was just getting worse and worse and hardly recovered, and Brendi’s picture this week was just abysmal. Plus I would save her the time from quitting the following week anyways. I think it would make sense to eliminate them both here. And NO WAY should Kyla have gotten first call out for her picture this week. That picture was waaaaay overrated by the judges. Jeana should have gotten first call out for that, her picture that week was amazing. As for the real elimination, I’m not quite ready to let go of Sandra just yet. Yes her picture was mediocre, but she still had a lot more to give. So I’d hang onto her for a little while longer.

Week 9:

FCO: Shanice

Bottom Two: Kyla & Jeana

Eliminated: None

Quit: Brendi

My FCO: Shanice

No bottom two or elimination

Reasons: Since this week had a non elimination, I would also not eliminate anyone this week. Mostly because I already did a double elimination the previous week. XD;;; As far as call outs go, I’d still give Shanice first call out for her genius photo, Khrystyana second call out, then Jeana third. Then I’d just call Christina, Liberty, and Sandra forward to get their photos at once signifying no elimination. Much like when Tyra called four girls forward to get their photos after Louise quit in Cycle 18. The reason I do this is because I don’t know how the likes of Sandra, Liberty, or Christina would’ve fared in that photoshoot. So I can’t really place any of those girls in the bottom two and potential eliminate either of them because I don’t know how they would’ve performed. So like the real show, no elimination this week.

Week 10:

FCO: Rio

Bottom Two: Shanice & Erin

Eliminated: Erin

My FCO: Khrystyana

New Bottom Two: Shanice & Liberty

My elimination: Liberty

Reasons: I think this would be the week I would eliminate Liberty. She’d be the weakest girl left at that point and I don’t think she’d be able to pull off a Paper magazine cover. Shanice definitely stays in the bottom two though, for both her horrible photo, and piss poor attitude on set. And Khrystyana would get first call out for her gorgeous photo, which she was completely robbed of that week.

Week 11:

FCO: Khrystyana

Bottom Two: Rio & Jeana

Eliminated: Jeana

My FCO: Shanice

New Bottom Two: Sandra & Christina

My elimination: Christina

Reasons: Not much to say here, except this was video week. As much as I love Khrystyana, I wouldn’t quite give her first call out for her video. I happened to like Shanice’s video a little more, hence her first call out. She would definitely be my second call out though. Jeana would not be pointlessly eliminated as her video wasn’t even that bad. I would personally call her third. That just leaves Sandra and Christina as the bottom two, eliminating Christina. No worries though, she can come back and slay away in the tarantula shot the following week.

Week 12:

FCO: Kyla

Bottom Two: Shanice & Rio

Eliminated: Rio

Potential Comeback Girls: Christina, Liberty, Erin & Jeana

Comeback Girl: Jeana

My FCO: Jeana

New Bottom Two: Shanice & Sandra

My elimination: Shanice

My Potential Comeback Girls: Christina, Liberty, Erin & Rio

My Comeback Girl: Christina

Reasons: Whew, what a doozy! So much to type out considering the producers waited far too late to do the comeback stuff. While I am ecstatic that Jeana, (my second choice for comeback girl after Liberty), was chosen to comeback, it just made her elimination the week before seem pointless. Oh well, at least the righted the wrong they did last week by eliminating Rio here, who should’ve gone the previous week. I mean, look at Jeana’s photo. It’s amazing! She not only should not have been eliminated, she should’ve gotten first call out that week, not the overrated Kyla. As for my version of events, Christina would come back to the competition, and Shanice would be eliminated. As Shanice’s picture that week was absolutely horrible. Plus, it matches the same dynamic of Rio and Jeana being paired up and Shanice and Christina being paired up in their photos. So it all works out.

Week 13:

FCO: Kyla

Bottom Two: Shanice & Jeana

Eliminated: Jeana (But was saved at the last second, so essentially none)

My FCO: Khrystyana

New Bottom Two: Jeana & Christina

My Elimination: Christina

Reasons: No I am not going to do that bullshit lets save Jeana from elimination again, and CONTINUE to drag on this season by having three final four episodes in a row. There is no excuse for that. Just eliminate someone already, sheesh! As for my elimination, I think I’d eliminate Christina, again. Even after choosing her as the comeback girl. I know bringing her back then eliminating her seems pointless, but well, someone has to go. And Khrystyana would get her fifth first call out from me. She was completely robbed of it this week, as Kyla had NO business not only getting first call out, but getting WAY overpraised for such a mediocre photo.

Week 14:

Final Three: Khrystyana, Jeana & Sandra

Third Place: Sandra

America’s Next Top Model is…. Khrystyana!

Khrystyana was robbed. Khrystyana is the real winner of the cycle. Excellent portfolio, excellent personality, she has everything it takes to be a model. For a cycle that preached body positivity, diversity, and even getting rid of the age limit, Tyra certainly dropped the ball by picking someone as mediocre and as one note as Kyla. This goes down as one of the worst winner decisions in the shows history. Sandra would be in third place because she had loads of potential and a very strong look, but would fall a bit short for me in the end, and Jeana would be the runner up. Just without the thousands of eliminations Tyra piled on her. And Khrystyana would be the winner of Cycle 24! She is my next level fierce. That would be my way of ending this disappointing and atrocious cycle.

Final Standings: (Bottom twos):

1. Khrystyana – (Winner) (0)

2. Jeana – (Runner Up) (1)

3. Sandra (3)

4. Christina (Post Comeback) (2)

4. Shanice (Pre Comeback) (4)

5. Christina (Pre Comeback) (See bottom two amounts above)

6. Liberty (1)

7/8. Brendi (Quit) (2) & Rio (2) (Double Elimination)

9. Erin (3)

10. Kyla (2)

11. Coura (1)

12. Rhiyan (1)

13. Liz – (Quit) (0)

14. Ivana (1)

15. Maggie (1)

ANTM Cycle 24 Final Recap

Final thoughts

This cycle had so much promise. This cycle really could’ve been something with Tyra returning as the host, but was extremely disappointing and had an equally disappointing ending. I don’t know what VH1’s deal was, as the editing was absolutely atrocious, if not defaming. The editors really went out of their way to make these girls as unlikable as possible. Even the lovable fan favorites got edited in a not so appealing way at some points. The drama wasn’t even entertaining either, it was just plain mean spirited and spiteful. Plus, there was so much ridiculous crap regarding call out orders and eliminations. First of all, the seven way tie for first call out for the bed week was so stupid. How is the bottom two girl who survived that elimination going to feel when she is literally the only person not being displayed in the house as digital art? That is just downright cruel. Couldn’t they just do a non elimination that week? Speaking of non eliminations, all the last three episodes in a row with FOUR girls remaining was just inexcusable. Just eliminate someone already Tyra. Quit dragging the goddamn cycle out longer than it is. And the producers simply waited way too long to do a comeback. You should NOT be waiting until the final four to bring a girl back. That should be done around the final six or something, not until it’s almost finale time. These twists, turns, and fake outs were really irritating and frustrating. The elimination order was alright, though some of the eliminations were COMPLETELY unfair and infuriating. And a lot of the less talented girls simply lasted way too long in the competition. The winner was a terrible choice as Kyla was an extremely mediocre model who had NO business being in the final four, let alone winning with the incredibly weak portfolio that she had. The final runway was so cheap and ugly as the runway looked like a High School prom. And I HATED the addition of kids being added to the runway. Maybe it’s just me, but it was completely unnecessary adding them to the runway. If it’s one positive this cycle had, I did like the photoshoots. Some of them were very creative and well done. And even then, the editing and photoshopping was atrocious and cheapened even the strongest of photos. Plus, I liked how they got rid of the age limit too, as I feel models can be any age. Even if it meant a 42 year old contestant was part of the cast, (hell a last second decision), as well. XD;;; Overall, this cycle was terrible and it will go down as one of the most disappointing cycles in the history of the show.

So this write up is going to be a little different, as there were no overseas destination this cycle or the cycle before. Instead of breaking the girls down by overseas/makeovers/the rest, I’m just going to simple list the girls from highest average to lowest. Now at long last, onto the final rankings!

1. Khrystyana (2.1) 2/3/4/1/1/1/3/5/2/1/2/2/1/2

1. Khrystyana

Here we have, the real winner of Cycle 24. Remember when I said in my Cycle 15 write ups that Chelsey is the most robbed contestant ever? I lied. THIS is the most robbed contestant in the history of the show. How could Tyra eliminate Khrystyana in third place? She was an amazing model! And that certainly reflected as such in my rankings. With the exception of two weeks, she was never called any lower than top three. That’s amazing! Her lowest call out was fifth for her gold paint photo, and even that photo wasn’t even that bad. It was just alright at best. Her second lowest call out was fourth for her high fashion video from the third week. Besides that, she earned a whopping five first call outs from me, three of those five being consecutive. And she earned an additional four second call outs and two third call outs. In all the rankings I’ve done so far, Khrystyana is the highest ranked girl by far. She is no doubt going to beat CariDee in the #1 spot for highest ranked girl next intermission. This girl was no doubt the model of the season, and one of the best models in the history of the show. Why the hell did this girl not win? Tyra really dropped the ball, big time. Khrystyana should’ve won. She was completely robbed.

2. Jeana (3.1) 6/2/2/8/4/2/7/1/3/2/3/1/2/1

2. Jeana

And here’s the second most robbed contestant this cycle. While Khrystyana is my winner of the cycle, I would’ve gladly chosen Jeana over Kyla for the win this cycle. Jeana was another model to beat this cycle. She had a very strong portfolio. With the exception of three weeks, she was never called any lower than top four. She managed to rack up three first call outs from me, and a whopping five second call outs as well. That really says a lot about her talent as a model. One concern I had about her though is her tendency to miss the brief in some of her photoshoots. Her horror and bed picture are perfect examples of that. Those were among the lower call outs she received from me. But besides that, when she was on, she was on, and I was so glad she was chosen to be the comeback girl. Just look at her tarantula photo, it was divine! I also felt sorry for her because she got such a terrible edit midway into the season. She went from a sweet, inspirational girl, to this so called evil bitch who wanted to stomp on anyone. What the hell editors? I didn’t buy her bad edit one bit, and I am so glad she is speaking out about it on Instagram. Like on the real show, I’d choose Jeana as my runner up, with Khrystyana as my winner as stated above.

3. Liberty (3.7) 3/4/1/3/6/4/5

3. Liberty

You can’t help by feel sorry for this girl. She has got to be one of the most overhated contestants in the history of the show. As soon as it was revealed she was a Trump supporter, the “tolerant” liberal fans of the show instantly turned on her. I find that extremely unfair honestly. She’s entitled to her own opinions, she’s entitled to vote for whoever she wants, there’s no right and wrong way to vote for someone. It’s wrong to hate someone just because they vote differently than you. Sure enough, she was called a “racist” and a “bigot” for being conservative. Since liberals are so “open minded” and call anyone that doesn’t agree with them a racist bigot. Calling someone a bigot when you literally don’t have any proof of it just because you don’t agree with them, doesn’t make you any better than who you bash. Then people criticize her because of her makeover comments. I know she said something stupid, but I think it was just said in the heat of the moment. One thing people need to realize is that people make mistakes, and we all say things we don’t mean in the heat of the moment. I guess all the fans of the show are perfect? As she her modeling abilities, she is grossly underrated. She amazing modeling skills and was extremely photogenic. While I wasn’t a fan of her head group shot or her comeback picture, the rest of her photos were solid and prove she should’ve gone further. Her elimination is one of the most unfair eliminations in the shows history. The producers only eliminated her because it was LGBT week and Liberty is a conservative. And was saved over Kyla of all people. Proving once again that society hates conservatives and continue to get a bad rap. I love Liberty, she was one of my favorite contestants this cycle and she was eliminated way too soon. I think I’d take her up to Paper magazine cover week.

4. Kyla (5.2) 7/15/7/2/5/9/2/3/4/5/4/4/3/3

4. Kyla

Hoo boy Kyla, the winner of this cycle. Quite possibly the most predictable winner since Ann Ward. I don’t know what Tyra was thinking picking her, Kyla is a terrible choice for winner. For a cycle that’s all about diversity, body positivity, hell even breaking down the age barrier, Tyra certainly dropped the ball by picking a winner as plain and as average as possible. She could’ve easily been cast in another cycle, and it wouldn’t have made a difference. Kyla’s portfolio on the show was extremely mediocre and massively overrated by the judges. The pictures she got first call outs for that the judges way overpraised weren’t even that great. Some of her pictures, her drag queen photo and especially her pregnancy photo, were honestly elimination worthy. Her pregnancy picture is easily the worst photo this cycle, and one of the worst photos in the history of the show. I don’t know how she avoided bottom two for that. She did have some bright spots though, like her horror and her bed picture, both of which I called her second for. And she improved greatly as the cycle wore on, so she was capable of being a good model. But besides that, she hardly ever topped my call outs, and when she did, it was when there were very few girls left anyways. She didn’t beat the girl who quit Week 4 until literally the final week! And she never got a single first call out from me. That’s bad. On top of that, I couldn’t stand her personality either. For someone who is for equality and loving everyone, she certainly did not know how to respect other peoples opinion. Her feminist argument with Liberty comes to mind immediately. And how many times did we need to know she’s an activist too? Overall, Kyla was a mediocre model, and DID NOT deserve to win. I’d eliminate her drag queen week. Kyla should’ve gone that week, not Liberty.

5. Liz (5.3) 1/8/8/4

5. Liz

Out of all the girls this cycle, Liz is the one I felt sorry for the most. She was no doubt treated terribly on the show, if what it said is true that SHE was the one forced out after one of the girls supposedly threatened her life. It may have seemed like she was an emotionally unstable wreck on the show, but I have a feeling there’s more to it than what was shown on TV. That being said, I really don’t get the love for this girl. Everybody loves her, but I don’t really get it. Everybody says she’s so fun and hilarious, but she doesn’t seem like someone I would get along with in real life. She had A LOT of potential as a model though, hence why she ranks within the Top 5. Her garden picture is flawless, and I loved the horror picture she went out with. I have no idea how much further she’d make it had she not quit, so I can’t really say I’d take her to a particular week. I’m willing to bet she’d make it up to somewhere around top 5-7. Too bad she quit, she was a pretty good model.

6. Rio (5.7) 4/1/3/9/9/6/8/7/6/3/5/7

6. Rio

If I were to give a contestant the award for “Biggest Disappointment,” Rio would get this award hands down. Rio was an early favorite of mine. For the first three weeks of the competition, I thought she would be the model to beat. Her pregnancy photo is my favorite picture of hers that I gave her first call out for. Unfortunately, her portfolio nosedived VERY quickly and never recovered. Like Kyla, she was also overpraised for her mediocrity by the judges. No way did she deserve first call out for her group head shots or the praise she got for her bed shot. She had a horrible personality too, though that could’ve also been in part of editing. She went from funny commentator, to raging bitch in a matter of seconds. I couldn’t wait until she was finally eliminated in the comeback week. This is probably the most disappointed I have ever been in a contestant I liked pre show. Lexie Cycle 15 was another one I was disappointed with as well. She went from my favorite pre show to a nasty raging bitch I hated the minute she opened her mouth. Rio also fits that category as well. I’d eliminate her gold paint week.

7. Sandra (5.9) 15/6/6/6/2/5/1/6

7. Sandra

Sandra is a contestant I didn’t think I’d like as much as I did. When I first saw her pre show pictures, I didn’t think she was anything special. Plus, she got off to a rocky start with that atrocious garden picture. But then she quickly improved and became one I really watched out for. Her group head shot picture was inexcusably underrated by the judges, and her bed shot was gorgeous. I even gave her first call out for the latter picture. Her last picture was alright, and I somewhat agreed with her elimination, but I honestly wish she would’ve made it further. I also remember her for looking like a Kardashian, which is not at all a bad thing, as much as I hate the Kardashians. Overall, I liked Sandra, and I thought she should’ve lasted longer. I’d honestly take her up to the final three. I’m not even kidding. I honestly think she would slay in all those later photoshoots.

8. Shanice (6.5) 14/9/11/11/11/3/5/2/1/6/1/6/4

8. Shanice

This is a girl I did NOT think was going to last as long as she did in the competition. She started out as a girl I don’t know how she got cast in the first place. Within four of the first five weeks in the competition, she ranked right in the double digits. That’s pretty bad for someone that makes it all the way to the top four. She made a DRASTIC improvement by around the drag queen photoshoot, and after that, she took some solid photos. Her gold paint and her parachute pictures are some of the best pictures this cycle, and I gave her first call out for the latter picture. But quicker than she improved, she started to slip back into her old habits, and started taking weak pictures again. Regardless, she is by far the most improved contestant this cycle. While I appreciate her improvement, she was greatly irritating as a person. It seemed like she just couldn’t be happy for anyone doing better than her, and was always complaining about everyone. I couldn’t stand her, and I was so glad when she was finally sent home. I think I’d eliminate her comeback week with the tarantulas, just before the big comeback reveal.

9. Christina (7.1) 9/7/13/5/7/7/6/3

9. Christina

Another contestant that was done the dirty on the show. Christina hardly ever said anything bad on the show, and everytime she tried to explain herself, the judges, (Law Roach in particular), would always jump right down her throat. It almost reminded me of the way Kelle was treated back in Cycle 3. Not to mention, she was the unlucky recipient for one of the worst makeovers in the history of the show. I don’t know what the producers were thinking with that absolutely terrible hair. Couldn’t they just die her hair the same purple shade like in the above picture of her? As for her modeling abilities, they were alright. Her atrocious high fashion video is what really brought down her average, but the rest of the time she mostly ranked towards the middle. She took a lovely tarantula shot comeback week, and I didn’t even mind her last picture with her on the bed. I wouldn’t have even eliminated her that same week either. In fact, I honestly wouldn’t have minded her making it to the top four, as she had a lot of potential as a model.

10. Erin (7.2) 5/5/9/12/8/10/9/4/5/4/8

10. Erin

Ah Erin, the grandmother of the cycle. The oldest contestant in the history of the show at 42 years old. And damn did she look good for her age or what? Unfortunately, she did not live up to her youthful look in her photos. She had a very weak portfolio, some of the photos she took were absolutely terrible. Her horror picture, her drag queen picture, and her bed picture are all elimination worthy. Her drag queen picture is one of the worst pictures this cycle. Erin seems like a lovely person in real life, but she really didn’t have a whole lot of potential to model at all, and it showed in her pictures. I’d eliminate her bed week.

11. Brendi (8.2) 10/14/10/10/3/8/4/8/7

11. Brendi

I could not stand Brendi. I could not stand her at all. She was the big bully who picked fights with anyone, and could never take back what she dished out. Then has the audacity to quit because she can’t get over her personal hang ups? Unlike with Liz, (who Brendi treated terribly might I add), I did not feel sorry for Brendi one bit and shouldn’t have gotten so far in the first place. This might be one of the only times I don’t feel sorry for a contestant that quit, the other being Maria from Cycle 19. As far as her modeling abilities go, they were almost non existent. For the first four weeks of the competition, she consistently ranked in the double digits. She only took two good photos, her bed one and the group head shot one. Everything else was terrible, and her gold paint shot is laughably bad. Plus, her manly man makeover didn’t help her either. She definitely should not have made it to seventh place, she should’ve gone much sooner than that. When exactly that would be, I’m not sure. Like I said in Liz’s write up, I can’t really determine which week I’d take her to, as she did quit the show after all.

12. Coura (9.2) 8/10/5/13/10

12. Coura

This is one contestant I did not understand the love for in the fandom. She was gorgeous as hell yes, but she really wasn’t a model. The only time she ranked even remotely high was when I ranked her fifth, for her high fashion video. The rest of the time she ranked quite low, and her horror picture is elimination worthy. And NO WAY would I have given her first call out for her pregnancy photo. The judges way overrated it as it wasn’t even that great. Plus, I don’t even remember much about her either. I don’t remember any sob stories of hers, I don’t remember very much of anything she said. All I remember is her overration of her pregnancy shot, and that her and Shanice did not get makeovers. She seems nice enough though. I was fine with her being eliminated when she was on the show.

13. Rhiyan (10.8) 12/12/12/7

13. Rhiyan

I don’t have a whole lot to say about this girl. All I remember about her is her ridiculous makeover with hair going all the way to her knees, and for her past with eating disorders. Can we discuss her makeover for a second? The extremely long weave was completely unnecessary, and it didn’t even look good on her. They give Jennipher from Cycle 3 a hard time for having waist length hair, but they give Rhiyan hair that would give Rapunzel a run for her money? Wasn’t sold on her modeling skills either, as all but her final week were spent in the double digits. I liked her last photo with the horror theme, she was finally starting to show some promise as a model. But, it was too little too late for me. I didn’t mind her elimination at horror week, so I’d also eliminate her there.

14. Ivana (12.0) 11/11/14

14. Ivana

You know that one contestant that has absolutely no potential to model whatsoever? Ivana was that girl. I felt sorry for this girl honestly, she seemed like a delight as a person, but she could not model to save her life. And like Rhiyan and Christina, she received an absolutely terrible makeover. That buzzcut was a huge mistake, it made her look extremely manly and aged her 20 years. Couldn’t they just die her hair black, but keep the afro she was sporting? Didn’t like either of her pictures, (I honestly forget what her pregnancy picture looks like), nor did I like her high fashion video. So I was fine with her early elimination.

15. Maggie (13.0) 13/13

15. Maggie

Am I the only person that doesn’t get the love for this girl? Everybody loves her, but I just don’t get it. She was so plain and boring to me, I literally completely forgot about her the minute she was eliminated. The only thing I even remember of her was her homey/home girl stuff that pissed off a lot of the girls and the fandom. And I must be the only person who hated her pregnancy picture, even though it wasn’t THE worst of the bunch. I also didn’t like her first picture either, so I honestly don’t care that she was the first one eliminated. I don’t get the love for this girl, and she is massively overrated. Sorry fandom.

Paper Spread

ANTM Cycle 24, Week 14

At long last, we’ve arrived at the final photoshoot, and the conclusion of Cycle 24. And like last week, I was completely underwhelmed at these batch of photos. I mean, I loved the sets the girls had to work with, and I loved the styling as well. The 60s glam girl styling was genius, and I liked how each of the girls had different colored backgrounds to work with. But truth be told, I really didn’t like any of the final three photos. I mean I guess I liked two of the photos. But for the most part, these set of photos were so disappointing for the final week of the show. Though some of it was probably in part of sabotage to make two girls look bad, and one in particular look good. You’ll know who I’m talking about when you see my rankings of these three photos. Overall, I liked the photoshoot concept, but the photos just feel flat to me.

The next few updates will be the final recap of this cycle, the top ten best/worst photos, and how it should’ve gone elimination order wise. Following that is the next intermission update that will include both Cycle 15 and Cycle 24. So be on the look out for those next five posts within the next few updates. So it might be a while before I rank another cycle. But enough rambling, onto the photos….

1. Jeana

Jeana

Despite the fact that she, like last week, looks extremely short here, I really like this photo of Jeana. I like her sitting down on the giant phone and her broken down legs. Her face is divine though. That stare, her peak through the glass she is holding. It is genius! I even like the way she’s holding the glass too. Out of all the three pictures, Jeana’s Paper spread is the strongest and most usable for the magazine. Though like last week, I really didn’t care about any of the pictures this week.

2. Khrystyana

Khrystyana

I know this is a little campy, and Khrystyana’s mouth is open Whitney style, but honestly, it kind of works. Tyra was right about one thing, this photo does look meme like. XD;;; And that’s not even a bad thing either. It’s bubbly, it’s fun, I’m having fun just looking at this photo. She looks gorgeous, very 60s glam. I’m also loving her equally jovial body language and her body looks incredible here. I guess I’m not completely sold on it, which is why I ranked it second.  Still, NO WAY should she have been eliminated at third place. Despite this photo not being what I’m used to seeing from Khrystyana, she should have won for sure. Her near flawless portfolio should have been more than enough to push her to win this cycle. She was robbed. Big time.

3. Kyla

Kyla

I mean, it’s a nice photo, but not anywhere near winner material. Her face once again, ruins the photo. The judges say she’s finally improved on making her features look good, but I don’t know what they’re talking about. She’s continuing to give the same blank face with dead eyes, and her nose look very pig like and cartoonishly huge. She’s also missing a lot of her neck too. The body is slamming however. I adore her pose, and I’m impressed how she can make such a strong pose while sitting on top of a plastic soap (?) hill. She looks gorgeous in the dress too. It’s a usable shot, a good shot even, but it’s not so amazing it belongs in a magazine spread. Kyla winning is easily the biggest disappointment in an already disappointing cycle. It was not only disappointing, it was also painfully predictable. But, I’ll save that rant for my final recap of all the girls.

Pantene Campaign

ANTM Cycle 24, Week 13

This was an alright photoshoot for the most part. I liked all but one of the sets for the girls, and the styling was pretty no point. However, for such an interesting photoshoot showcasing one of the prizes for the winner, the results of this were very disappointing. Truth be told, I only liked one photo out of the four. I literally did not like any of the other three pictures at all. And being so late in the competition, that is unacceptable. I really expected much more from this photoshoot. And only one of the girls truly delivered. Ugh, I can’t wait for this disappointing season to be over. If this is truly the last photoshoot of the season, (the finale is next week), then what a lackluster way to end things.

I’m not sure what post relating to this cycle is going to come next. I guess if this is the last photoshoot, then I’ll post the final standings in a separate post, then do my usual final recap, best/worst photos, and how it should’ve gone to follow. Like I would traditionally do whenever I finish up ranking a cycle. Then once I’m done with my Cycle 15 rankings and final posts, I’ll include both that cycle and this current cycle on my next intermission. Not sure what’s to come, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. But enough rambling, onto the photos….

1. Khrystyana

Khrystyana

With this photo, Khrystyana earns her fifth first call out from me. And she was completely robbed of first call out this week too. This is a spectacular photo of her! This is the kind of ad I’d expect out of Pantene. She looks gorgeous, and I for the most part like her body language. I like the face, but her eyes are a bit vacant. She looks a little unsure of herself, and it’s not what I want to see in an ad. But, it’s pretty much the only photo I even like this week, and Khrystyana still did the best job with this ad.

2. Jeana

Jeana

If this doesn’t say sabotage, I don’t know what will. What’s with the set? Why is there too much space between her head and the top of the picture? The producers are really doing Jeana the dirty this season, and it’s getting frustrating. That being said, I do like this photo, it sort of works. Her face looks nice, and she the blonde wig looks good on her, not sure about the pose though. She’s essentially just lying there with her body getting lost in that dress. But considering she got screwed over badly in both the set and wardrobe department, a lot of this isn’t really her fault. And when even Phillipp Plein, the guest judge and whose runway show the girls are gonna be walking in next week, likes you so much he wants to save you, then you know you’ve got something special going for you. This is a pretty good photo, but like I said above, I don’t really like any of the pictures this week. This is the best of the worst.

3. Kyla

Kyla

Once again, Kyla gets way overhyped and overpraised with a completely mediocre photo. This did NOT deserve first call out at all, and the fact that the judges overpraised THIS photo is honestly laughable. I mean, her hair looks gorgeous, as it’s supposed to for a Pantene ad, but the rest of her face looks busted. She’s looking down too much, her eyes are vacant, and her nose and her mouth look way too cartoonishly huge. This isn’t a Pantene ad at all. It just looks like a 12 year old girl going on her first date. For someone who had by far the easiest set, completely set up in her favor, she failed to deliver. Not impressed. She did do better than one other girl however, which saves her from dead last.

4. Shanice

Shanice

This is lifeless. This is dull. This is bad. Shanice is doing absolutely nothing special, and she’s just standing there looking bored. Her face is dead and has zero expression, and the hair in the face is distracting. At this point in the competition, there’s no excuse to take such a terrible photo like this. Especially for an ad that’s literally part of your prize to win the show. If there’s one positive thing I can say about this photo, Shanice finally got a much needed makeover! She looks fabulous with her new hair, and the producers should’ve given it to her sooner. Too bad she couldn’t rock the rest of the photoshoot, as she got such an awesome set too.

Jewelry with Tarantula

ANTM Cycle 24, Week 12

Best. Photoshoot. This. Cycle. One of the best photoshoots in the history of the show even. I loved the nostalgia concept recreating an old photoshoot, (Cycle 3 Tarantula one to be exact), and even bringing back Cycle 3 winner Eva to recreate it with the girls. This idea was genius! Furthermore, this goes perfectly with the comeback week with a girl coming back into the competition. What a better way to celebrate this comeback by recreating one of my favorite photoshoots ever. The photography was beautiful and the styling was top notch. Even the girls that did the worst in the photoshoot looked nothing short of gorgeous. And Eva slayed away in every photo she was in. Another thing I liked about the photoshoot is one girl still in the competition posed with a previously eliminated girl. And of course these pairings were done on purpose, (Kyla/Liberty, Rio/Jeana), due to past drama between most of the the two paired up girls. On top of the awesome backdrop and throwback theme, a lot of the girls did a terrific job with the photoshoot too. There were only three girls who I thought did poorly with the photoshoot, but the rest of the photos came out fine. I wish the show did more creative throwbacks like this more often!

And yes I am going to be ranking the potential comeback girls as well, (Christina, Erin, Liberty, and Jeana), making the total of photos ranked here eight. So I will have eight averages to update at the end of this post. But enough rambling, onto the photos!

1. Jeana

Jeana

Jeana really earned her way into the comeback this episode. This is amazing. I love her body position, her butt sticking out and the arch she made with her back is genius. She’s also showing off the jewelry, which is the point of the photoshoot. Her face is gorgeous too, I love the strong eye contact. My eyes go straight to her when I look at this group picture. She got the well deserved comeback this episode, and I couldn’t be happier. Good for her!

2. Khrystyana

Khrystyana

As usual, Khrystyana produces a magnificent shot! My eyes go straight to her the minute I look at this picture. I love the movements in her body, and I love her hands on Erin, assuming she’s actually touching her. Her face is gorgeous too, her beautiful green eyes just stand out and I adore her eye contact. This photo is definitely a win, the way the judges criticized this at panel was ridiculous. Jeana’s comeback announcement aside, I would’ve given Khrystyana first call out this week. Both the top two girls I ranked did the best this week, I just like Jeana’s photos a little bit more.

3. Christina

Christina

Upon first glance, I honestly thought Christina was gonna to be the comeback girl. With the way the judges raved on about her photo, and with her nailing that runway challenge, I was completely convinced she was gonna be a shoe in. But alas, that didn’t happen. This is still a fabulous picture of her though. I love her hand placement, and her displaying of the jewelry. Her face is lovely too, and I love her head tilt as well. It really adds to the emotion she brought into the photo. She’s definitely the stand out of the photo, and my eyes go right to her upon looking at this picture. But it only ranks third because I prefer the top two girls I ranked above her. While this is a solid shot of Christina, and I felt bad about the way she was eliminated, I’m glad she wasn’t the comeback girl. I didn’t really care about her enough to see her make a comeback.

4. Kyla

Kyla

Once again, the judges are overrating Kyla and giving her yet another undeserved first call out. I just don’t get the love for this girl. That being said though, this is a good picture of her, and she does stand out the most here. I like the hand on Eva, and she looks absolutely gorgeous. The problem I have with this photo is her face. The eye contact is almost there, but her expression is so blank. I wish she would’ve pushed more. Had she done that, this photo would’ve ranked much higher.

5. Liberty

Liberty

I was so glad to see Liberty as one of the four potential comeback girls, and I was hoping she’d slay away with this picture. Unfortunately, she fell just a little bit short for me. This is still a pretty good picture of her though. Her pose, albeit a tad basic, works here. What drags this photo down for me, is the face. She looks completely petrified and tense, as if the tarantula is scaring her. Had she relaxed her face more, and if we actually saw her hands, let alone the diamonds, this photo would’ve an amazing one. Part of me wishes Liberty were the comeback girl, considering she was unjustifiably eliminated. But I’m glad my second choice Jeana got the comeback instead, and it was nice to see Liberty again anyways. So it’s not like this whole comeback thing was a lost cause or a waste of time.

6. Shanice

Shanice

Shanice is so tense here, she just looks terrified in this photo. Her body is super stiff, her arm looks so freakishly huge and she looks like she’s clinging to Eva. Her face is all sorts of wrong too. Her mouth is too tense, her eyes have no life in them and once again are too squinty, and her nostrils are distracting. What saves her from the bottom two is her neck. This is probably the most elongated and extended I have ever seen. Funnily enough, I think the tarantula helped with that. XD;;; Besides that, this photo is way too stiff and Shanice really could’ve done better than this.

7. Rio

Rio

And Rio takes yet another underwhelming, sub par photo here. She is doing absolutely nothing interesting here. She is just sitting there as if she’s waiting for the photographer to take her picture. Her face is way too aggressive here, and it doesn’t work when you have Eva and Jeana looking perfectly calm compared to her. Rio was way overdue to be eliminated and I am so glad she was finally sent home this episode. Her mediocre portfolio and her stank attitude will not be missed. Good riddance.

8. Erin

Erin

Let’s just cut to the chase here, Erin did by far the worst this week. She was the worst not only as one of four potential comeback girls, but she did by far the worst job this week. This is terrible. Her hand on her chest makes her look like she’s petrified of the tarantula, and her face is completely dead. There couldn’t be any less life in her face if it tried. The tarantula is completely taking over her face, and overshadowing her. Even more so than Toccara’s tarantula picture in Cycle 3. I really don’t understand why Erin was chosen as a potential comeback girl. Her pictures were never impressive, and some of them were among the worst in the bunch. This is easily the worst individual performance and I am so glad she wasn’t chosen as the comeback girl.

Luxury Mansion Music Video

ANTM Cycle 24, Week 11

Pointless music video with clips not even five seconds long. Don’t care to neither post the videos nor write an in depth analysis on why I placed the girls where I did. Short responses only.

1. Shanice – Started a little weak, but her motions at the end saved it.

2. Khrystyana – Wasn’t a fan of the twirling, but everything else was fine.

3. Jeana – A little half assed, but not nearly as elimination worthy.

4. Kyla – All she did was crawl on the table and show her butt. Not impressed.

5. Rio – So weak and uninspiring. Send her home already.

Paper Magazine Covers

ANTM Cycle 24, Week 10

I liked this photoshoot. While I do not follow paper magazine, I liked the concept of the girls posing for a cover of the very magazine they will be featured in if they win the show. Nice touch with the girls names being added to the bottom of the covers too. The problem with this photoshoot…. was the styling. It was horrendous. From bad make up jobs, to bad wigs, to horrible outfits the girls had to wear. It really cheapened the quality of the photos. The stylists really dropped the ball there. Plus, only half the girls churned out decent photos. The other half of them came out pretty dreadfully. So the results from this photoshoot were really underwhelming and disappointing.

Also, I am going to try to wrap up Cycle 10 with my next updates. I just need to do final recap, top 10 best/worst photos, how it should’ve gone, and make another intermission list. Be on the look out for those next few updates. But enough rambling, onto the photos!

1. Khrystyana

Khrystyana

Khrystyana was completely robbed of first call out this week. This is a fabulous photo! I love her pose and I love how lean and tall she looks. She’s even making the black wig look good on her too. Her face is gorgeous too, it goes perfectly with her bad ass pose. Another thing I like about this picture is Khrystyana is making that hideous styling look good as well. The styling does not suit her at all, but she still manages to look drop dead gorgeous despite that. So bonus points to her. Another excellent photo in Khrystyana’s excellent portfolio!

2. Jeana

Jeana

This is an amazing photo of Jeana. So expensive and exquisite looking. I love her facial expression and her head tilt, and her make up and styling to go along with it looks divine. She definitely got the best styling out of all the girls. Not sure if I like the shoulder sticking out, but it doesn’t deter the photo too much. Still a very strong photo, I just happen to like Khrystyana’s picture more.

3. Rio

Rio

While I do like this photo of Rio, this in no way deserved first call out. I don’t know why Tyra keeps overrating this girl. That being said, this is a pretty good photo of her. She makes her styling look good, which is a plus, and I love her earrings too! Her face reminds me of Chris from Cycle 15 with short hair, which is a cute look. The problem I have with her face though is it’s too campy. It’s a little too try hard. Still, it’s an immense improvement over most of her portfolio, so it’s one of her better shots.

4. Erin

Erin

I originally had this ranked dead last, but upon close inspection it’s not that bad of a photo. I like the attitude she’s giving, it fits her ridiculous styling and theme. But like Rio’s picture, it’s way too cheesy and campy. It just seems like a grown woman at a costume party. Plus, her mouth looks weird and her eyes are a little vacant. Not the worst photo, it is one of Erin’s better shots in the competition. I agree with her being eliminated though, as she needed to go out ages ago.

5. Kyla

Kyla

Once again, Kyla falls right into mediocrity. This is just bad. Granted, this was a hard concept, (cyber sexy? What?), but she still couldn’t pull off a halfway decent shot. She’s tilted her head too much, and it makes her face look unappealing. Her face is also blank, her eyes are dead, and she’s not pushing through that atrocious make up job of hers. That blonde wig looks ridiculous on her too, though I know she can’t help that. Kyla is lucky that one other girl did worse than her. Otherwise, I would have no problem ranking this photo dead last.

6. Shanice

Shanice

Just when she was improving, Shanice falls right back into her unperforming ways. This is just terrible. Her eyes are completely dead, her nostrils are too cartoonishly big, and her shoulder popping out is really contrived. Jeana may have been able to pull off the shoulder thing, but Shanice flopped hard on it. I also have to talk about her ridiculous styling. What is with that wig of hers?! Talk about cheap costuming. I know this sounds insulting, but she seriously looks like a dude in a wig. And that fugly make up doesn’t help matters either. On top of that, her attitude on set was just awful. Her bottom two appearance in this episode was a well deserved one. Both her this picture and for her attitude.

Parachute

ANTM Cycle 24, Week 9

Awesome photoshoot! I loved the desert setting they were in, and I loved the girls posing with a huge pink parachute as their backdrop. This is definitely one of the show’s better photoshoot ideas. One thing that peeved me about the photos is the cropping. They showed WAY too much background, and not enough of the girls. They all look so tiny with how far away each girl is photographed. You don’t even get to see close ups of the girls either. Good news is most of the seven remaining girls did very well. There were only three pictures I felt that came out poorly. Overall, I loved the photoshoot setting, just wish the girls didn’t all look like ants with how far away they were photographed. Which couldn’t be helped by them of course. Now onto the photos!

1. Shanice

1. Shanice

Shanice has come such a long way from her early weeks in the competition. She has improved so much it’s astonishing. This photo is divine. I love her profile and the way she’s holding the dress, and I love how the wind is blowing the dress too. I have nothing negative to say about this picture. I could honestly see this ad in a magazine. Excellent picture.

2. Khrystyana

2. Khrystyana

Khrystyana bounces back after slipping a tiny bit last week. This photo is amazing. I love the arm position and her dress blowing in the wind, and her face looks nice too. One thing that drags the photo down is the unnecessarily raised right leg. It looks out of place. She looks like she’s doing the can can, which doesn’t fit the brief for this photoshoot. That’s the one thing that stops this from being first call out. But besides that, it’s yet another excellent photo in Khrystyana’s portfolio.

3. Jeana

3. Jeana

I refuse to fall for the bad edit the producers are giving Jeana this week. They are purposely editing her into the villain for some reason I’ll never know. And this photo DID NOT deserve to be put into the bottom two. This is actually a pretty strong photo. I adore how the dress looks in the photo. The way the wind is blowing it, the shape, how it looks on Jeana, the way she’s holding onto it, etc. I like her pose as well. She is selling me every aspect of that dress. She doesn’t even look short either, despite taking off her shoes at the photoshoot. I like the face too, but she could’ve pushed a little more there. Still a strong photo, and not anywhere near as bad as the judges made it out to be. I just prefer the other two above hers more.

4. Kyla

4. Kyla

Like Jeana, Kyla should not have been placed in the bottom two for this. This is a pretty good photo. I like her pose, I like the left hand raise and the arched leg. The face is pretty strong too, but she tilted her head a little too much, and it makes her neck look giraffe like. And the way she positioned her right hand makes her look like her hand is caught up in her dress. Her glove completely blends in with the dress, and it looks awkward. She makes the dress look awesome though, especially with the way the wind is blowing it. It’s a good photo, but this feels far more album cover than it does high fashion photo. So it doesn’t quite fit the brief.

5. Erin

5. Erin

I originally had this in my bottom two, but upon closer inspection, it does have some positives. From the waist down, this photo works. Her legs look amazing and I love the way one of them is bent. Then you get to the waist up, and the photo is lacking a bit. She’s not doing anything interesting with her raised arms, and her face looks too aggressive. She looks angry, and it ages her a lot. It’s an alright shot, but Erin could’ve done so much more with this.

6. Rio

6. Rio

God, this is so uninspiring. Rio is doing nothing in this photo. Nothing. I guess I like the way she’s holding onto the parachute, but she is doing not one single thing interesting with her body. Her face is dead too, she eyes look like they’re not even open. What is it with her looking like she’s sleeping in almost all her pictures? She’s also making the dress look shapeless too. I legit thought the bottom part of the dress blowing in the wind was her leg when I first saw this photo. Only to find she’s actually hiding one of her feet instead. It looks really awkward. How she wasn’t in the bottom two for this is beyond me. This is a horrible picture. Please send her home already.

7. Brendi

7. Brendi

It is so obvious that Brendi completely gave up on this competition, and it shows in this photo. This is just bad. Her raised arms are way out of place and awkward, she’s just standing there doing nothing with her body, and her face looks pained. There are just no positives about this picture whatsoever. If Brendi hadn’t quit the competition this week, she probably would’ve been cut anyways.
